​Music Notes 

This year is going to be wonderful!  We will remain hopeful and positive!  In the Music room, we will take certain precautionary measures to ensure safety, security and learning are at the forefront!

Masks will be worn inside the Music hallway and Music room.

Hand sanitizing stations are located at the entrance and exit where all will be required to take a squirt of hand sanitizer coming into the Music room and exiting the Music room.

Chairs and musical instruments will be sanitized after every use using a solution that kills all viruses and bacteria within two minutes of being administered.  

Chairs and usable musical instruments are spread apart to six feet or more.

Students will be using our outdoor Music space where we will be able to safely sing, dance, and spread apart more than 10 feet away from others.

At the conclusion of our outdoor portion of Music Class, we will use hand sanitizer again, and will put masks back on prior to moving out of our “super spread apart space.”

Starting in January all  3rd, 4th &  5th graders will play recorders this year. Each child must have their own recorder with a case where it will be kept when not in use. Please send recorders with your students to school starting Monday, January 25th as we will begin recorder instruction this week. Yes, they will need to practice!  Have fun listening to their musical growth!  

Individual recorders can be purchased at Amazon.com starting at $4.99. The preferred model is the Yamaha Yrs-20 3 Piece Soprano Recorder. Which comes in a variety of colors.

The Bronco Chorale will be assembling this year. However, we will not be able to take as many students as we have before, and we will adjust our rehearsal style to follow CDC, State and local guidelines. Regularly scheduled rehearsals will begin October 20th from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.  Pick-up is promptly at 3:30 p.m. in the Parent Pick-Up Loop.  More information will be coming your way in the near future! 

We will have auditions outside in our outdoor Music classroom on:

4th & 5th Grade:  Tuesday, October 13th  from 2:30-3:30 p.m. 

3rd Grade:  Thursday, October 15th  from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
